چکیده

Compared with traditional thoracotomy, video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) has less minor trauma, faster recovery, higher patient compliance, but requirements for surgeons. Virtual training simulation systems are important and have been widely used in Europe America. Augmented reality (AR) surgical significantly improve the effect of virtual training, although AR technology is still its initial stage. Mixed gained increased attention technology-driven modern medicine yet to be everyday practice. This study proposed an immersive lobectomy within a thoracoscope system, using visual haptic modeling potential benefits this critical technology. The content included rendering, based on cluster-based extended position-based dynamics algorithm soft tissue physical modeling. Furthermore, we designed rendering systems, whose model architecture consisted multi-touch interaction points, including kinesthetic pressure-sensitive points. Finally, above theoretical research, developed interactive VATS platform. Twenty-four volunteers were recruited from First People's Hospital Yunnan Province evaluate system. Face, content, construct validation methods assess tactile sense, scene authenticity, simulator performance. results our construction demonstrate that useful improving novice skills can retained after certain period time. system effective as device assist development novices.

Exploring visuo-haptic augmented reality for training

Computer based training has been intensively studied in the last decades and its application in different domains became highly popular. Current systems, however, only provide a fully simulated environment in which the training takes place. Their application is therefore limited by the complexity of the simulated scene or by the capability of the underlying hardware. A concept which can be used...

Visuo-Haptic Augmented Reality runtime environment for medical training

During the last decade, Visuo-Haptic Augmented Reality (VHAR) systems have emerged that enable users to see and touch digital information that is embedded in the real world. They pose unique problems to developers, including the need for precise augmentations, accurate colocation of haptic devices, and efficient concurrent processing of multiple, realtime sensor inputs to achieve low latency. W...

Enhanced Visual Depth Cues for Collocated Visuo-Haptic Augmented Reality

Our current research focuses on the application of visuo-haptic augmented reality in medical training. The setup developed in this context enables collocated haptic interaction with scene objects. In order to allow natural manipulations, provision of appropriate depth cues becomes a crucial factor. Therefore, we have included fast occlusion handling and shadow synthesis in our augmented environ...

Deformation-based Augmented Reality for Hepatic Surgery

In this paper we introduce a method for augmenting the laparoscopic view during hepatic tumor resection. Using augmented reality techniques, vessels, tumors and cutting planes computed from pre-operative data can be overlaid onto the laparoscopic video. Compared to current techniques, which are limited to a rigid registration of the pre-operative liver anatomy with the intra-operative image, we...
